Attorney Fees

There is a wide range in the attorney fees charged by divorce/family law practitioners.  Our firm's practice is to keep attorney fees within reasonable and affordable limits, so we set our fees well within the local fee range.

Our attorney fees are normally billed on an hourly basis.  The total attorney fee charged is the hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours expended.   The hourly rate will be determined at our initial meeting along with an estimate of total hours to arrive at our best estimate of the total attorney fee. We also offer billing on a "flat fee," basis in some cases.

We are efficient in our practice and fair in our billing.  Divorce practice is an area of law where the client can do much to control the attorney fee charged.  The key is reasonable cooperation from both parties regarding contested issues such as property settlement, child custody, child support, etc.   This is normally done by utilizing settlement techniques wherever possible such as ADR, or, simply, by having both parties and their attorneys sit down to arrive at a fair settlement.  We accept payment by all major credit cards.
